Zerwas Requests Additional Town Hall and Public Hearings in Waller County

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AUSTIN – On Monday, January 28th, 2008 State Representative John Zerwas formally requested the Texas Department of Transportation to host additional town hall and public hearings in Waller County regarding TTC-I69.

Rep. Zerwas attended the TTC-I69 Corridor town hall meeting on January 22nd in Hempstead, Texas. Unfortunately, a large number of citizens were unable to attend the event due to problems with traffic and parking in the area that evening.

Rep. Zerwas was further concerned that citizens in Waller County would also encounter difficulties attending the two public hearings scheduled in Waller County on February 27th. Rep. Zerwas has also requested TXDoT to hold these two meetings on two different dates.

"I want to make sure that all the voices that want to be heard in Waller County are heard and therefore hope TXDoT will honor my request. I believe one additional town hall meeting and two separate public hearing dates will better accomplish that goal."
